Sauna & Facility Terms of Use
Age Restrictions
- Individuals aged 14–16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times
- No persons under 14 are permitted unless explicitly authorised by Hálogi
Health & Safety
The sauna, shower, ice baths, and surrounding areas are designated wet areas. You must take care when moving around the facility, as surfaces may be slippery.
Hálogi reserves the right to refuse admission to any individual where there are concerns regarding health, safety, or behaviour. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
Behaviour & Conduct
- Alcohol, drugs, and nudity are strictly prohibited
- Entry will be refused to anyone who appears intoxicated
- All guests must behave respectfully towards staff and other users
Sauna Operation & Equipment
- The sauna stove is strictly operated by staff only
- You must not:
- Touch the stove
- Add logs or fuel
- Open or close the stove door
- Adjust vents or controls
If you would like adjustments, please ask a member of staff.
Personal Safety
- All hanging jewellery must be removed before entering the sauna to prevent burns
- You are responsible for your own physical condition and suitability to use the sauna
Sauna Etiquette
All users must follow proper sauna etiquette at all times:
- Wash your feet before entering using the provided facilities
- Sit on a towel at all times for hygiene
- Limit sessions to a maximum of 20 minutes (recommended 5–15 minutes depending on experience)
- Pour water gently using the ladle from the back of the rocks towards the front
- Do not pour excessive amounts of water (“dumping”)
- Only use the provided sauna water, nothing else
Cold Water Exposure & Sea Use
If using the sea as a cold plunge:
- You do so entirely at your own risk
- You are responsible for ensuring you are a capable swimmer
- You must assess your ability to handle cold exposure and changing sea conditions
Group Bookings
If you are booking on behalf of others:
- You are responsible for ensuring all participants are aware of and agree to these Terms and Conditions
- Each individual must understand safe sauna use and requirements for participation
Medical Conditions & Contraindications
You must seek medical advice before using the sauna if you have any of the following:
- Pregnancy
- Cardiovascular disorders
- Blood pressure disorders
- Nervous system disorders
- Lymphatic system disorders
- Heart disorders
- Blood disorders
The following conditions must be disclosed to staff upon arrival:
- Epilepsy*
- Asthma*
- Diabetes*
- Allergies*
Right to Refuse Service
Hálogi reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any individual from the premises if they:
- Pose a health or safety risk
- Fail to comply with these terms
- Act in a disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate manner
No refunds will be issued in such circumstances.
